WE WERE GIRLS TOGETHER

‘We Were Girls Together’  explores the evolving and establishing relationships with the photographer and the female figures around her, as well as their empowering  and continuous connection they form with nature. The series covers the ongoing dynamic with themselves and each other along with the change over time and transience as a direct relationship from girl to womanhood; reflecting a natural progression of authenticity without performative behaviors and conforming to social conditioning enforced onto women by the patriarchal system.

Implicit Indications

‘Implicit Indications’ intends to prompt the audience to challenge the stereotypes enforced through semiology. Exposing unconscious thoughts that come from a patriarchal viewpoint and evoke the question of participation within binarys, biases and stereotypes. Leading to the recognition of projection inflicted via social codes with the implications and policing that come with them. The series conveys the unique and dynamic relationships that surround the photographer into her adult life and the identities and performances they withhold. Displaying the intimacy and acceptance for one another that has formed these relationships, despite the aftermath of many social conventions inflicted onto this generation.
